Reality First
Effective action begins with an honest assessment of reality.
People may disagree on solutions.
They may disagree on priorities.
They may disagree on values.
But meaningful progress requires a willingness to examine evidence, challenge assumptions, hear opposing perspectives, and engage with the world as it is rather than as we wish it to be.
Ideas-Shared exists to help people coordinate and take action around reality, not narratives.
What Most Organisations Are Quietly Struggling With
You’re not short of intelligence, ambition, or resources. You’re short of coordination capability.
Across your grantee network, your partner ecosystem, your member organisations, your operational footprint โ there are dozens or hundreds of capable people working on adjacent things, often unaware of each other, often duplicating effort, almost always producing less than they could if they were aligned.
Existing tools weren’t built for this. Project management software assumes a single chain of command. Collaboration platforms assume everyone works for the same employer. Community platforms assume people are there to talk, not to deliver. Bespoke software assumes you have ยฃ2โ5 million and 18 months to build it.
None of those is what you actually need.
What you need is a structured environment where people who don’t share a reporting line can coordinate around outcomes โ at organisational scale, behind your own walls, on terms you control.
That’s what a Private Hub is.
What a Private Hub Actually Is
A Private Hub is a fully sealed, dedicated instance of the Ambition Operating System โ configured for your organisation, your network, or your coalition.
It runs the same architecture that powers the public Global Hub:
What’s different is the boundary. A Private Hub is wholly separate from the public platform. Your members. Your listings. Your data. Your branding. Your taxonomies, configured to your domain. Nothing visible to the outside world unless you choose to make it so.
It’s the same operational pattern that’s underpinned every successful piece of coordinated change for two hundred years โ finally available as commissioned infrastructure for organisations that need it to work behind their own walls.
Who’s Already Asking About This
Three kinds of organisation are recognising what Private Hubs can do for them:
Foundations and large philanthropies โ coordinating grantee networks where the funder writes the cheque but the work happens across dozens of independent organisations. Current state: separate grantees, separate reports, duplicated effort, opaque outcomes. With a Private Hub: shared coordination environment, ambitions visible across the portfolio, grantees coordinating with each other rather than only with the funder, outcomes captured at programme level rather than per-organisation. The foundation stops being a clearing house for money and starts being a coordination platform for outcomes.
Multinationals and large corporates โ coordinating change across subsidiaries, geographies, and stakeholder groups that don’t share a budget or a reporting line. Current state: change programmes run separately, lessons not shared, internal initiatives competing with each other for attention. With a Private Hub: a single coordination layer above the existing operational structure, where any team can post an ambition that crosses divisions, attract participation across the matrix, and deliver outcomes that benefit the whole rather than only the unit that initiated them.
Multi-stakeholder coalitions โ sector groups, industry bodies, cross-organisational programmes, and shared initiatives where the members agree on the broad goal but answer to different masters. Current state: convened only at meetings, ambitions discussed but rarely delivered between sessions, coordination dependent on the convening organisation’s bandwidth. With a Private Hub: the coalition has a permanent operational environment where members coordinate continuously, with structure that survives staff turnover and momentum that doesn’t depend on the next quarterly meeting.
Different organisations. Different problems. Same underlying coordination capability, configured to each.
Why This Is Categorically Different From Bespoke Software
Most organisations facing coordination challenges at this scale end up commissioning custom software builds โ two to five million pounds, twelve to twenty-four months, high risk, frequently abandoned, often obsolete by launch.
A Private Hub is the opposite of that.
The architecture has been built over seven years and proven publicly on the Global Hub. The taxonomies, the seven-step process, the activity types, the formations, the directory, the toolkit โ none of that needs to be invented for your engagement. It exists, it works, and it’s been operating in the real world.
What’s configured for your commission is the instance โ your domain language, your ambition areas, your access rules, your branding, your reporting needs, your integration points. Everything that should be yours is yours. Everything that doesn’t need reinventing isn’t reinvented.
The result: a working coordination environment delivered in weeks rather than years, at a cost that compares to a single round of consulting fees rather than a custom-build budget.
That’s the structural difference between commissioning a Private Hub and building one. The risk profile is fundamentally different, and so is the time to operational value.
Take a Look Inside
The best way to understand what a Private Hub actually feels like is to see one running.
This site โ ideas-shared-hubs.com โ serves as the working preview for organisations considering a Private Hub commission. You can explore the structured learning paths, walk through the methodology in detail, examine the directory architecture, see how the seven steps operate in practice, and experience the platform’s working mechanics from inside rather than from a brochure.

The Commissioning Journey
When you’re ready to take the conversation further, the path is structured and straightforward.
1. Register your interest. A short form. We’ll respond within two working days to arrange a discovery conversation.
2. Discovery conversation. A working session โ typically 60 to 90 minutes โ to understand your organisation, the coordination challenges you’re trying to solve, the stakeholders involved, and the outcomes you’d want a Private Hub to make possible. No commitment on either side. No charge.
3. Scoped proposal. Following the discovery conversation, you receive a written proposal covering the configured Private Hub specification, the implementation approach, the training and onboarding included, the commercial terms, and the timeline to operational launch.
4. Configuration and launch. Once commissioned, the Private Hub is configured to your organisation’s domain, taxonomies, access rules, branding, and integration requirements. Training is delivered to your initial member cohort. The environment goes live.
5. Operational use. Your members coordinate inside the Private Hub. The platform handles the structure. Bob and the team remain available for ongoing support, optimisation, and refinement as your usage matures.
Pricing isn’t published because every commission is scoped to the organisation. Comparable bespoke software builds typically run from ยฃ1 million upwards over 18 months; a Private Hub commission is a fraction of that figure and delivers operational value in a fraction of the time.
We’re happy to indicate ranges in the discovery conversation once we understand the scope you’re working at.
Why Organisations Are Looking at This Now
The world your organisation operates in is changing structurally, not incrementally.
The institutions you depend on are losing trust. The coordination problems you face are becoming more complex, not less. The cost of fragmentation across your network โ duplicated effort, missed alignment, slow delivery, opaque outcomes โ is rising in real terms every year.
The mechanisms that worked when coordination happened in person, at quarterly meetings, through email and PowerPoint, no longer scale to the speed and complexity of what your organisation is actually trying to deliver.
Organisations that develop genuine coordination capability in the next decade will outperform those that don’t โ by margins that aren’t visible yet but will become impossible to ignore.
The capability is now available. As infrastructure. Without the time, cost, or risk of building it yourselves.
A Note From the Founder

The Ambition Operating System took seven years and ยฃ30,000 of personal investment to build. The public Global Hub is now live, with real members and real ambitions in motion. The architecture is proven.
Private Hubs are how that architecture becomes available to organisations who need it inside their own walls โ sealed from public visibility, configured to their domain, ready to coordinate the people and outcomes only they can define.
I don’t take Private Hub commissions lightly. Every engagement is a real working relationship โ discovery, configuration, training, support โ and I’d rather we have an honest conversation about whether your organisation will get value from this than rush either of us into something we’d regret.
If what you’ve read here resonates, the next step is a conversation. Register your interest, and I’ll be in touch.
